I think I've reached the point where what I'd really like to do is just skip over the rest of this 'Snow Crash' dystopia and move forward towards 'The Diamond Age'. That's not to say that 'The Diamond Age' is much less dystopic, but more to say that at least there was a little bit more honesty in the organization of the phyles. Also, I think I'd look bitchin' in a derby.

Today I learned that the internet is basically a shopping mall food court where everyone is yelling their diary entries at strangers while a robot decides who has to listen. We used to surf the web, and now the web surfs us. I think that's called irony, or maybe just cookies.
